February 24, 2011
|
|
Over 1,300 educators responded to our survey this past fall and we listened!
Based on your feedback, we’re introducing a new format for the GPB Education Newsletter. We’re featuring easier to read sections that address topics of interest to you. Now you can peruse what’s On-Air and Online, Explore What’s New on the website and within GPB Digital Education video streaming (formerly United Streaming), get a Tech Tip of the Month and Learn what professional development opportunities are available.
We also added a section to recognize and share the awesome work you do. In Professor Ridley Celebrates, we pay tribute to your achievements. Plus in Partners and Promotions, get the scoop on contests, special educator promotions, and events.
As always we love to hear from you. Share with us at education@gpb.org or join us on our Facebook page or Twitter feed.

Win A
Field Trip to Fernbank During NatureQuest’s Grand Opening!
Fernbank’s NatureQuest is
an $8 million permanent exhibit that promises to be the field trip destination
for teachers and students. Featuring 100 interactive
ways to observe the natural world, its ecosystems include those found behind a
waterfall, inside a forest and alongside a rock quarry. With
school budget cuts, Georgia Natural Gas®
TrueBlue Schools® understands that science field trips and hands-on
learning experiences often disappear from the curriculum.
That’s why Georgia Natural Gas TrueBlue Schools is partnering with
Fernbank during the grand opening of NatureQuest, and will be at Fernbank March 19th and 20th promoting ways to learn, earn and
win with TrueBlue Schools.
Throughout
the grand opening weekend, educators, parents and students can register their
school to win the grand prize - $1,000 for a Fernbank field trip! Other prizes
will be given away throughout the weekend too, including FREE Fernbank
admission passes/IMAX tickets, as well as a Fire-Up Your Field Day Experience
for one lucky school, sponsored by Georgia Natural Gas TrueBlue Schools and
Dave FM. Remember, TrueBlue Schools is helping schools earn much
needed dollars for ANYTHING they need, like field trips to Fernbank. Now,
that’s TrueBlue.
So,
come learn to earn with TrueBlue Schools, and Win!
Details
coming soon, visit TrueBlueSchools.com and FernbankMuseum.org.
