Next week, Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. explores the mysteries, surprises and revelations hidden in the family trees of popular figures as Finding Your Roots returns for an all-new season. Take a look at what’s coming up!

A sought-after music teacher and conductor, Juana Alzaga sets out to create Georgia’s first youth orchestra for immigrant families. For most, this is their only opportunity for music education. La Orquesta follows Juana and her orchestra over the course of one school year as they navigate health challenges and increasing hostility toward immigrants, finding solace in music.

In the season 12 premiere, Henry Louis Gates, Jr. helps actors America Ferrera and Darren Criss uncover their immigrant roots--telling stories of revolutionaries in Honduras, a Dutchman who helped build New York City, and a young woman from the Philippines who brought her family to California against great odds. Along the way, family histories are brought to light--and America and Darren come to see themselves in a new way.

Learn how the U.S. government tried to minimize the horrific human toll of the 1945 atomic bombings using propaganda, censorship and the co-opting of the press. Despite overwhelming odds, a group of intrepid reporters sought to reveal the truth.

Nearly a year after the devastating LA fires, Maiya May returns to document the rebuild and finds communities still grappling with loss but determined to move forward. She investigates survivors’ most pressing questions and concerns, leading her to an inspiring new approach to preventing this kind of disaster from happening again, and locals who are working to make their community a model for recovery and resilience.

Back in the fictional picturesque English county of Midsomer, Season 24 finds DCI Barnaby and his trusty sidekick, DS Winter, attempting to solve perplexing crimes while also exploring the quirks of this delightful yet deadly county.
