A new special hour-long edition of Witness History from the BBC World Service, bringing together some incredible stories about the Black experience. Told by people who were there, we hear stories that are fascinating, harrowing, and inspiring.

“It was a fighter, a battler, when it hit my jerk bait, there was a feeling this was a special fish, unforgettable as it jumped out of the water, my biggest catch," said 32 year old Justin, a life long fisherman. “Who could have imagined a 7 lb large mouth bass was lurking in Piedmont Park?”
