One of the greatest novels in the English language comes to MASTERPIECE in a four-part adaptation of Henry Fielding’s Tom Jones, giving a new twist to the tale of a young man’s love for a wealthy heiress.

A hotel filled with glamour, elegance, history and character and truly the first luxury hotel in Britain, The Savoy has sat alongside the River Thames for over 130 years. Filmed after the most dramatic period of the Savoy's history - the devastating coronavirus shutdown - this four-part series offers a fascinating glimpse into the experiences of being a guest at this iconic hotel.

Mountaineers were masters of making something out of nothing. This documentary features the fascinating, funny and heart-rending stories of the moonshiners who evaded the law (sometimes) and found creative ways to survive, put food on the table and produce a product that we still enjoy today.

This film follows three people living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neuromuscular disease with an average survival time of 2-5 years from diagnosis. As ALS progresses, the brain loses the ability to control muscles, resulting in the inability to move, speak, eat and ultimately breathe.

Sir David Attenborough presents seven of the most remarkable animal songs found in nature and explores the significance of these songs in the lives of their species.

The North Atlantic right whale is on the brink of extinction, but a handful of specialists are determined to help save it as they discover new secrets about the lives of these giants of the sea.

This documentary looks at Queen Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon’s inspirational efforts to improve the morale of the British people during World War II. With the constant threat of air raids, her insistence that the Royal Family remain in London was a reassuring move for the public and she became a national symbol of the Blitz spirit.
